Ron Yacoub
Ron established Pinecrest Physical Therapy in the spring of 2005 after working in several different clinical settings throughout the country. Since that time, he has worked to evaluate and treat clients with various orthopedic and neurological conditions, helping them return to an active lifestyle. Whether it is rehabilitation or reconditioning high-level athletes from high school to a professional level, Ron’s passion has always been to help our patients regain their form and to return to their sport.

Desaly is a Miami native who received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida International University in 2017. While receiving her Bachelor’s degree at Wake Forest University, she sparked her interest for physical therapy during a research study looking at the effects of dance rehab on Parkinson’s patients. As a former dancer and current dance teacher, Desaly has integrated her love and knowledge for dance into her everyday work as a therapist. Her interests range from the arts to sports and are highly committed to engaging herself into the path of orthopedic rehabilitation and injury prevention. Tamara graduated from the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Florida International University in 2016. Her passion for rehabilitating sports injuries stems from her personal experiences overcoming her own injuries as a young athlete. She was a part of the Miami Dade College softball team which captured the NJCAA D1 title in 2010 and later returned as a pitching coach for one season. Stephanie received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Miami campus. Before completing her graduate studies, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014 and is still a licensed practitioner. While completing her DPT degree, Stephanie found her passion and specialty in Pelvic Health/Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. She has undertaken additional studies in Pelvic Health with APTA organization, Herman and Wallace, and is an ambassador member of myPFM. Before joining Pinecrest Physical Therapy, Montsy spent 6 years at Jackson Memorial Hospital working with a diverse population. Her experience with post-surgical patients ranges from orthopedic and neurological trauma to adolescent and postpartum rehabilitation. With her certification in lymphedema management, Montsy has worked with post-mastectomy women to reduce upper extremity swelling as well as plastic surgery cases in order to improve cosmetic outcomes. She has also been involved with local university physical therapy programs, including Florida International University and the University of Miami, participating in student training and internship programs.

Chrystina Casas graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a Bachelor in Exercise Science. She started as a student volunteer in Key Biscayne and shortly worked her way up to running the daily operations of the clinic. In 2014 she moved to the Pinecrest location where she has assisted the company in expanding to over 8 locations.
